- After watching the film "Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse", you will be creating a detailed and critical reflection that showcases your personal analysis of the film. Try to think for yourself rather than relying on the "borrowing" of answers and comments that you find posted all over the Internet.

- Provide synopsis or overview of the movie's plot
- A discussion of what you liked, disliked, or noticed about the movie

- Character development
- Detailed character analysis of at least two of the characters from the movie. Ideally one good and heroic, the other villainous and bad.
- Discuss the differences and similarities between Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and Peter B. Parker
- How did the design and animation of each character show off their personality?
- How did the character(s) move? How did things like their walking, facial animations, and body language show their emotion or their thought process?
- How did Spider-Man and other Spider-People make decisions in the movie? Did they rely on Spider-Sense, or intuition, to decide their next move?
- What would you change about the characters?

Is the set more than just a setting? - Select a scene from the movie, and discuss how the set involved itself and added to the mood, the danger, the story, etc.
- Lighting
- How did the lighting affect the tone of the movie. Did certain scenarios of lighting symbolize anything (i.e. red/dark for danger, white/light for hope, etc.)?

- Part 3: The Negatives - Thinking Differently - Always room for improvement
- What negatives did you see in this movie; how can you make them positives?
- What do you think could have made this movie better or a more enjoyable experience.
- Think about the design, the narrative, the set, and other sources that you think could be improved.
- Web Motions
- Throughout the movie, Spiderman shoots his web in a very specific way. But could other motions work too? Or be even better?
- If you were Spider-Man and you needed your web to save the world, how else might your web shooter shoot? Where on your body and what kind of movements would work best with a web shooter?
Draw and explain two new ways that Spider-Man could shoot his web. Be sure to also illustrate the situation in which this new web shooter motion and/or body location would be most helpful.

- Part 5: Behind the Scenes
- Based on the behind the scenes look we took at the movie, please reflect on what you learned some of the clips.
- In the clip from "Discover the Spider-Verse" we get to meet the producers of the film, Chris Miller and Phil Lord, as well as the movie’s directors, animators and designers to learn all about the art, science, and real-world inspiration behind making the film. We will learn how the decisions they make every day can impact their own communities and their world. Students will also be encouraged to embrace the superhero within as various stars of the film, including Shameik Moore as Miles Morales and Jake Johnson as Peter Parker, remind them that “anyone can wear the mask.”
