Part 1:
Based on the video clip we watched in class entitled "What is Animation", answer or complete the following:

Based on the video clip we watched in class entitled "You Don’t Need to Know How to Draw to be an Animator" respond to the following:
Part 3:
Based on the video clips we watched in class entitled "Different Types of Animators" and "Types of Animation", answer or complete the following:
Your task is to research 2 of the types of animation and present your findings on a page(s) in your digital portfolio (Weebly, Wix, etc.). Alternatively, you could create an online presentation. Options include Buncee or PowerPoint (Online Version) or Slideshow (Google drive)
For each type of animation, include:
- Create a 'non-clickable menu' tab called "Personal Responses"
- Under the tab, create a new page with no header titled "Animation Introduction"
Part 1:
Based on the video clip we watched in class entitled "What is Animation", answer or complete the following:
- Provide a "technical" or dictionary style definition of "animation"
- Provide a shorter or more artistic definition of "animation"'
- Based on your experiences with animation, provide several examples where non-human objects or animals have been brought to life and how specifically these objects or animals have been humanized or made more human. As an aside, you might want to create a list of ways in which objects or animals are humanized in animation to behave more like a real person would be expected to.
- In your opinion, "What makes great animation?" For this question, you might want to frame your answer in terms of one or two of your personal favourite animations.
Part 2:
Based on the video clip we watched in class entitled "You Don’t Need to Know How to Draw to be an Animator" respond to the following:
- Although the commentator suggests that it is not necessary to be fabulous at drawing to be a successful animator, he provides some helpful suggestions that we can take from the world of drawing to make us better animators. Take time to record some of them down for future inspiration.
Part 3:
Based on the video clips we watched in class entitled "Different Types of Animators" and "Types of Animation", answer or complete the following:
- List and describe some of the basic types of animation
Your task is to research 2 of the types of animation and present your findings on a page(s) in your digital portfolio (Weebly, Wix, etc.). Alternatively, you could create an online presentation. Options include Buncee or PowerPoint (Online Version) or Slideshow (Google drive)
For each type of animation, include:
- A short definition or description of the style (for higher marks, you might want to include specifics about techniques)
- A minimum of 3 examples of the type.
- In selecting your examples, try to make sure that each of the examples is unique. Also consider choosing examples that you are interested in and that potentially serve as inspiration for your own work.
